12 January 2007 We've learned so much more about drugs since then
Solip and I finally got around to watching Casino Royale last Sunday. For the public record, I would like to declare that I also recognize this movie as the best Bond film yet, and that Daniel Craig is THE FUCKING MAN! Because of my excitement over the movie, I spent an evening at a coffee shop a few weeks ago reading Ian Fleming's 1953 novel of the same name. I found a completely hilarious passage I thought was worth posting. Fleming describes two gunmen at their post behind Le Chiffre during the game of baccarat that serves as the novel's central plot. He describes the first gunman as such:
Yes, I'm sure he would have strangled his victim with one of the fifty Twizzlers he would have been eating on such a night.
