I
must be a funny guy (because everyone's laughing at
me)
all
the love is gone
all the love is gone
all the love I had to give, I threw it all away
'cause no one seems to want it from me, the bottom of
the barrel
supply
and demand
I thought the day would come around when someone would
finally take me off the display stand
I'd wait for the turning of the tide, but I'd probably
drown
I
can't look at your face
I'm so ashamed
oh, the things you must think of me
I know I've made some mistakes
I'm better off denying my feelings
why
did I open myself so wide, regretting each time I
tell my story
you know why I cling to my pillow at night
everyone knows why I can't have what everyone seems
to have
I guess that's life
I must be a funny guy because everyone's laughing
at me
where's
my courage now?
who needs that? I've got the girl.
she is all I need.
how could I ask for more?
I
need nothing.
I've got nothing now.
don't know what's mine.
give
me a day free of desire,
so I can want another,
so I don't have to want her
I'm not used to getting what I ask for
got
some honey
finally someone wants me
this I have to see
a fantasy
back
to reality
I've been practicing
lotion and magazines for me
it's
just a dream
to remind me to leave my past behind me
and not give the book an ending
trying to simply the dilemma that I've brought on
myself
right
to responsibility
originally released on Ancient
Chinese Secret
the
assertive are taking control of their lives
what else can you do in these times?
but so many are idle and complacent as they trudge
along their thinning lives
who holds the pen that is drawing your path?
your interests don't concern his thoughts
if you trust him, you'll be hearing too much without
thinking enough
and
you will say that it is all a lie
oligarchy withholding human rights
you're oppressed, that's why your lunch is free
don't give a second thought to your right to responsibility
history's
been unkind to those thought unqualified, but times
are changing
it's something the politicians will verify
they're ready to tell the truth
who's going to do the drive-by tonight?
which one of us will be on the front page tomorrow?
is it the government's fault anymore?
and
you're wondering who's accountable this time
the man is filling our streets with guns
we'd rather sell drugs than work honestly
give me all I want but I won't accept your right to
responsibility
don't
depend on anybody else
they don't care as much as you
stop blaming everybody else
the problem always starts with you
they've successfully beaten you down
your spirit has died it's true
everyone has obstacles,
the biggest one is believing in you
