Sometime in 2001, while I was a graduate student in the Department
of History at Illinois State University, Professor Mohamad
Tavakoli-Targhi informed me that Professors Frederick
Drake and Lawrence
McBride had secured a very large grant
for the department and were going to need a web designer.
Tavakoli asked me if I knew how to make a website. I replied
that I didn't. He then suggested that I learn and apply for
the job. If I had done something of significance since then,
I would now say "And history was made."
History, however, was not made, although it was then my interest
in web design began. In September 2002, I purchased the present
domain and have used it both for work and personal expression.
The overall look of the site and much of its content have changed
several times over the years -- only a small handful of which I
don't look at or listen to without embarrassment. There was
also very little activity during 2009 and 2010 as I tried to figure
out what exactly I'm trying to accomplish here.
I'm afraid I still don't have a particular objective for this site
nor do I know "what went wrong?" Nevertheless, I
thank you for stopping by.
